For the book ‘Zeg me wat je zeggen wil’ I designed the book cover.
The book was written by Francisca Felix, a speech therapist. When a child cannot cope well with the language, is often not well understood or does not attune to another person, there may be a disturbance in speech, language and communicative development. This book helps speech therapists, therapists, parents and older children to make a connection and communicate with a child with a language development disorder or autism.
It was a great search to translate the feeling and message of the book into one single image that reflects the connection and compassion between a child and an adult, taking time to really listen and build trust.
